Co-Op Board changes

Following the AGM in May, there has been a change to the Board’s chair. Mark Axon was nominated by the Board to be the Co-Op’s prospective Fan Representative/Director. In order to focus on the shareholders agreement and develop the Representative/Director role with the football club, Mark stepped down as Acting Chair. John Hobson was appointed Chair by the Board after receiving a nomination and being unanimously endorsed by the Board. At the AGM we also welcomed Gordon Chetwynd to the Co-Op Board. He is a regular face at Liberty Way on non-match day, doing fantastic work maintaining the ground.

There are spaces available on the Co-Op Board, and we welcome Boro fans with relevant skill sets to strengthen the board. Initially as a Co-opted board member or volunteer, until formally appointed at the next AGM. We are also looking to encourage Co-Op members and Boro fans in general to get more involved in our projects (such as the Volunteer Initiative and Fan Rep role), help us progress and thrive.
